What is the GDPR?
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation designed to increase protections around the processing of personal data of data subjects in the European Union.
When did the GDPR take effect?
The GDPR took effect on May 25, 2018.
Who does the GDPR apply to?
The GDPR applies to any organization in the European Union that is processing personal data. It also applies to any organization that processes the personal data of EU data subjects, regardless of whether the organization has a presence in the European Union or whether the processing is conducted within the European Union.
If you collect, store, manage, or analyze personal data of any type, including email addresses, it is likely that the GDPR affects your organization.

GDPR rights for respondents
If you’ve entered data into Beakon, who is responsible for looking after that data?
If you’ve submitted your personal data into Beakon, the creator of that Beakon form, field or other types of input is responsible for this data. Beakon only processes this data on the creator’s behalf.
This means that if you want to exercise any of your GDPR rights, you should contact the person or organization that administrates the Beakon environment. If this isn’t possible, we’ll do our best to put you in touch with the person or organization.
Is Beakon secure and GDPR compliant?
Beakon has offices in US, AU, EU dedicated hosting with a certified server infrastructure. We are fully GDPR compliant, ISO 27001 compliant but not certified and can ensure enterprise-grade data security and privacy.
